when i close my macbook pro whilst it is connected to an external monitor the internet connection slows down, does any body know how to fix it ?

Certain external monitors and LCD displays: Certain displays may emit harmonic interference, especially in the 2.4GHz band between channels 11 and 14. This interference may be at its worst if you have a portable computer with the lid closed and an external monitor connected to it. Try changing your access point to use 5 Ghz or a lower 2.4 GHz channel.
I do have the same problem. My internet connection speed drops from ~30Mbps to about 2-3Mbps when i connect my MB(2010) to Samsung LCD external monitor via mini display adapter to HDMI. I've tried all suggested steps in this website without luck and i even ask the guys at Apple Store and all told me they are not aware of this issue. I'm just wondering if you found something new that worked for you and can help me improving my connection speed.
