Howdy,

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where we can share our iBooks once they are published. Just include the book title, price and a link to it so we can all find it and download it.

Title: Big World Little Lens - The Complete Guide to iPhone Photography

Price: $4.99

I hope you all enjoy it!

Authors,

I see now that the issue with Hoss's excellent idea is that this thread is getting pushed deeper and soon will be out of sight. Newly published authors will not run across it except by chance. I suppose Hoss, say, could every so often reply with "Don't forget to share your book title and link here" which would keep it near the top. But is there a better way?

I would like to see in this thread links to the books published by the forum experts who provide advice to novices. Michi is such an expert and has kindly done so. I have downloaded a sample of Djembe Construction to get ideas and to see what an expert layout looks like. Even though the subject is not an interest of mine, I might even be willing to buy the book! And if I did, I would certainly write a review.

I don't think so. Threads stay near the top as long as they are active and drift down as activity ceases.

Thanks for your kind words 🙂

I see this this as a major advantage of electronic publishing. It makes it possible to publish books that a traditional publisher would never touch because the target audience is too small. My book is of interest only to a small number of djembe enthusiasts and there is no way that it could ever be published on paper without making a loss.

My Darling Mom - Gerald Levenston’s WW2 Letters Home to Canada

Description

Canadian officer Lt. Colonel Gerald Levenston wrote over 160 wonderfully descriptive letters home to his widowed mother in Toronto during World War 2. Gerald describes setting up the largest hamburger stand in Europe for the Canadian troops, fighting Rommel's men at the Battle of the Kasserine with the 17th/21st Lancers, giving ‘marching orders’ to surrendering Nazi armies in May 1945, and returning 261 priceless Van Gogh paintings to the Kroller-Muller State Museum from an underground vault in Holland. Includes video interviews with Gerald.

as much as this is a good idea, I can't see anyone actually buying the books on this thread. We here are the authors wanting to make money not spend money :-)

Anyway, here are my books, one of which is free :-)

Joe,

I just bought Natural Portraits. Why?

1. Support a fellow author.

2. One review praised the interactives and I want to see what I can learn.

3. Now if so moved I can write a genuine review.

But if I had not wanted to fork out the $1.99 all at once, I could at least have downloaded a sample and maybe be moved to take the plunge.

I am interested in military history and tempted by Michael's description above. Who knows how far I may go!

Anyway, what do we have to lose by posting links to our books here?
