How do you put page numbers on a document using "TextEdit" on the Macbook Pro 2011?

Please help me, I cant figure out how to put page numbers on an essay Ive been working on. I just spent 7 hours typing up a 10 paragraph essay and it needs page numbers, if it does not have page numbers it is an automatic fail. Someone PLEASE help me. I'm using TextEdit and I cant seem to figure out how to put page numbers on the top right hand corner of every page, except for the first one.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.3), this is using TextEdit

From the TextEdit Help menu;

Adding page numbers to printed documents

You can print the page number, date, and document title on each page of a TextEdit document.

"To add page numbers to printed documents:

Choose File > Print.

If the Print dialog contains only two pop-up menus and some buttons across the bottom, click the disclosure triangle to the right of the Printer pop-up menu.

Select “Print header and footer.”

On each page of your document, TextEdit prints a header and footer that include the page number, date, and title.

Only appears to work when printing. If you want the document on the computer to have page numbers, print as PDF.

Oh, and they appear at bottom right!
