Why won't my iCloud 'sent' mail box update?

My icloud 'sent' mail box has no recent sent messages in it. All this email i receive & review on my MAC are visible but all the emails I send from my MAC never appear on line (icloud). I'm to busy (lazy) to read a thousand irelent posts to find the correct solution. m.

mac mini, Mac OS X (10.4.9)
