Please tell me the steps to add a screen cap to a discuusion thread in Apple Support Communities. I have taken the screen cap (power + home buttons). I tried copying and pasting the picture from the Photos app into my discussion in my Safari Web browser, but that didn't work.

When you have a message composition window open you will notice a camera icon in the toolbar.
Click on the icon and a large window will open which has a button labeled, "Choose File." Drag your image file from your computer and drop on top of that "Choose File" button, then click on the "Insert" button in the lower right corner of the window.
Browse to your picture when it lets you.

When I initiate the new composition window, the toolbar that you are referring flashes up for me at the top of the window. Am I missing something? Is there a UI gesture that I need to perform to make the toolbar persistent?
Hi. I believe the responses above are referring to posting an image from within Safari on a Mac as opposed to an iDevice. Safari is severely crippled when it comes to posting on Apple discussions. Ironic, ain't it?
Are you talking about clicking on the Reply link of another post?
As in the above which shows your last post and the composition window I get when clicking on the Reply button in the lower right corner of your posted message.
Very. Like being unable to edit posts if you use the forum in the iPad but you can on a PC (and presumably mac)
I am performing these steps using Safari on my iPad2 (iOS 5.1.1). Sounds like this is a limitation of using an iPad2 (idevice). The edit toolbar does not show up if I use my iPad2. My assumption is that the advice from Kappy and steve359 is how Safari behaves on a Mac. That is, on a Mac the edit toolbar is visible and this functionality is possible.
If you are trying to do this on your iPad, I use iCab Mobile. It's a more robust browser on iPad than Safari and I believe you'll find for about $9 (find it in the App Store) it will provide what you're looking for.
