Unable to restore from time capsule.

I have a MacBook Pro, May 2011 edition. Recently, my computer downloaded an apple update...Since then, I am unable to use my time capsule. Every time I try to access the time machine, my computer freezes. Also, all my mail got deleted since this update.

Aperture 3, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Do you remember what update you applied? It may not help, but you might try downloading and installing the "combo" updater that corresponds to your version of OS X. If your system details are accurate that you're running OS X 10.6.8, it would be this one.

If that doesn't fix the problem, please repost your problem on the discussion section for your version of OS X. Your problem is more related to OS X than to the Time Capsule router.

You seem to be having as many as four separate problems:

1) "Every time I try to access the time machine, my computer freezes."

2) "all my mail got deleted since this update."

3) "the computer does not want to remember my yahoo mail address for mail application"

4) "[Mail] asks me for the password every 5 minutes"

That's a lot to fit into one post. Items 3 and 4 may be the same issue, but the way you worded them makes them sound like separate problems.

Regarding item 4, you might be interested in this thread.
