May 24, 2012 6:12 AM in response to rtaltonby planb77,To do a hard reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume down buttons together at the same time long enough for the Apple logo to appear. This may or may not work the first time around, so don't be afraid to try it more than once.
If you are still unable to get any sort of response, you'll need to let the iPod's battery fully drain. Then charge it back up and see if things are back to normal.B-rock
