Nov 2, 2012 1:49 PM in response to Klpazby bhawthorne,Yes. You are charged for the rental at the time you rent it. You have 30 days to start watching it, and then 24 hours from when you start watching to finish it.
I had exactly the same problem. Fortunately, if you get that error message, it does not start the 24 hour timer so you can try again the next night. And the next. And the next.
I gave up after a couple of weeks of not being able to watch the movie, and clicked on the Report a Problem link in the email (or in iTunes on the computer). Eventually I convinced them to give me a refund.
I guess I won't be trying to rent again any time soon.
I have no idea why this happens, and nobody else seems to either.

May 19, 2014 7:29 PM in response to Klpazby tompanis,I too wasn't able to complete my download of a movie rental. 'Download Error, Tap to Try' . I tried to tap several times but to no avail. I want to delete entire the uncompeted download but I can't also delete.
