I am going to give a MBP I have, couple years old, to a friend. When I reset it or re-install OSX will she be able to get an iCloud email address ... or a dot me email?

So there are no new dot me email addresses? And thanks for the reply.
I think you can still get a me.com email address, but I'm not sure. I know Apple is not killing the use of iCloud services for email. Have her try at iCloud.com. She can follow the onscreen instructions of what to do and how to do it.

That's not correct, there are no new .mac addresses but .me is available.
