stop light blinking when alarm rings

The alarm on my clock (factory installed) now also blinks the flash. How do I turn off the light?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

Settings> General> Accessibility> LED Alerts> Off

Doesn't work. Mine was always off, and it still flashes at me.
