Q: connecting HP 8600 printer w/wireless capability not printing thru wireless network

I just connected my HP printer 8600 pro plus and used the cd to install, but not all the printer details show up under settings, only the basic model type. I haven't been able to print wirelessly yet. The printer indicated that it detected my wireless netgear router though, and my notebook also uses the netgear for internet access. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

This is for Snow Leopard, which you show you're using - might be of some help. I have a Canon MG8120 which I print to with ease (scan, too). During your setup, you should have had the printer 'seen' on the network.
