How do I change my 'rescue' email address? I wish to swap my primary and secondary ones around.

The header says it all really. I no longer really use the email account nominated as my apple id and may soon cancel that service. I tried to amend my email account to the one I now use and got the response that the email I input 'cannot be the same as my rescue email address'. Any help would be appreciated as search box found nothing.

Go to https://appleid.apple.com/ .
In the right column, click the link for "Manage your account".
Log in.
In the left column, click the link for "Password and Security".
Answer the security questions when prompted.
In the right column, under the heading "Rescue Email Address", you'll find links for editing or deleting your rescue email address.

May be you it help if you change rescue email adress first.
