canon says there is no driver for this camera for Lion. So, I am wondering if this model is compatible with Lion, or if I'm stuck and cannot move my pictures from the camera to my macbook pro. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you can't transfer the pictures in tethered mode, then take the SD card out of the camera and put it in the SD card slot on the side of the MacBook Pro.
