How to manually add photos onto photostream on Iphone 4s to view on New Ipad

There is no way that I'm aware of to manually move a picture from camera roll to Photo Stream. You could email them yourself, but easiest and most logical way would be via your computer and iTunes sync.

From what I have read, you can't manually add saved photos to the photo stream on an iDevice. You can add photos from the computer - but not from an iDevice. I may be reading this wrong, but you can check it out here.

You cannot manually add photos to Photo Stream from an iOS device. You can with a Mac or Windows PC.

Everyone on here is technically right, but there is an easy workaround that doesn't require any cords or email. Use a third party camera/photo editing app. Import all the photos you want to send to Photo Stream. Then immediately save them back out to the camera role. Photo Stream will begin to populate those photos into itself.

Just wanted to give this tip that works well for me and its FREE. If you have iphoto app on the iphone and ipad you can beam multiple pictures back and forth. No need for 3rd party app like bluetooth file sharing which only allows 1 pic at a time. Good Luck,

There is a workaround. In iPad you you can capture the screen by keeping the button pressed down while pressing the power button. Go to photos, maximize the photo to full screen, take a screen capture as advised above and the captured screen (photo) will go to both, camera roll and photo stream. Hope that helps.

I have managed to manually upload photos from my camera roll to photostream. I select the photo that I wish to upload then click share then choose photostream. I don't add in a contact when prompted but simply add a name for the new photostream - this photostream is then created and appears on all connected devices. You can add subsequent photos to this photo stream or create further ones - works well for me

Well, if you have a wifi network with both devices connected, you can use PhotoSync. It works for a computer--->iphone/ipod/ipad transfer, too. It's here - http://www.photosync-app.com/ (and of course in the AppStore)

Turn photostream on & then take a screenshot of picture you want on photostream.

I wouldn't recommend taking a screenshot like langft had mentioned because, if the image resolution is larger than your screen resolution (which it probably is) you are greatly degrading the image quality by taking a mere screenshot of a zoomed out photo.

Navigate to photo, press the share button, click "Photo Stream", "New Photo Stream", leave the "To:" box blank, Type any name, e.g. "PC", leave public website "off", finally press "Post". This new photo stream will now appear on your pc. Start>My computer>Photo Stream. You must have iCloud Control Panel installed.

First off, when this topic was started well over a year ago there was no iOS 6. So it's kind of silly to dig up ancient posts and try to show everyone up with something in iOS 6 that didn't exist in iOS 5.

That aside, what app are you doing this from? In my iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4, there is no Photo Stream associated with Share in the Camera Roll of the Photos app.
