cannot send email...(says that my password is incorrect) and it isn't!

Our email account was hijacked a week or so ago and a load of duff emails sent out. Eventually issue resolved with yahoo after multiple password changes. However, since then we have had problems with emails on iphone and ipad. Sending seems the most problematic. We are using the new passwords but keep receiving error message saying that the username and password are incorrect-they aren't.


We can access yahoo via PC and the account is fine-sends and receives as normal. Just makes me realise how much I use the mobile devices


Any ideas?

When you say your passwords are correct did you enter the new password into BOTH the incoming and outgoing (SMTP) mail server settings? It sounds like you changed the incoming but not the outgoing.

HI guys

i am having exactly the same problem word for word I have tried everything from deleting and re installing account to setting up a new account on yahoo the on my pad a nd phone.. They work for a while then the error message just comes back.. I am just going to contact yahoo and BT to see if they have any ideas. I will post the solution . If I find one
