.mail doesnt work on my macbook.

it only works on my iphone or online...something happened when i moved from mobileme to icloud...im running snow leopard on the macbook so i cant install icloud...what confusion...why do they make it work on vista but not snow leopard apple always jumbles up things like this...my macbook cant upgrade to lion..what a bunch of lame crap..
