After the most recent update, I am unable to play Serpentine

There's a game I like to play that is like Boggle. The website is:

http://games.cobradragon.com/

I sign in as usual and go to the game and get this error notice:

At first I thought the site was down but my husband is able to play on his Windows XP computer. I tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome and get the same response. This only happened after the latest security update so I'm wondering if there is some setting I need to change. Does anyone have any ideas?

My computer is an iMac OS X 10.6.8

I don't have virus software that would prevent it from running. I'd appreciate it if someone can help me figure out how to fix this problem.

Hello Krabitha,

The only thing you need to be able to play these games is a modern browser with flash and javascript!

But I'm wondering if it actually requires Java also, which was turned off for safety in recent updates.

Hmmm. I checked both Safari and Chrome and they have the right settings. I even went to Safari and turned off pop-up blocking and I still can't get the game to work.

I also repaired disk permissions just in case.

I hate to be a dummy, but I still can't get it to work. I even went to the java website and it said my java plug in was working properly. I am puzzled. If you have any more ideas, please let me know because I am completely at a loss here. I will shut my computer down on the off chance of whatever and see if that helps.

Thanks for trying to help but so far, no luck!

I think this is a Java problem. I went to Firefox and Mozilla home page and checked to see that my plug ins were up to date. Firefox said it had turned off my Java because it was not up to date. When I went to the Java page to update it, it only said Mac has its own Java updates and suggested I update through Apple. Unfortunately, when I checked to see if Apple has any updates for my Java, there weren't any.

After seeing that, I went to the link it had for "upgrade to the latest version" and this is what Java says:

I guess I will look for Java help on the support pages here and see if anyone has any info.

Yes I'm sure they are up and running. My husband is running windows xp on a computer sitting right next to mine and he isn't having any trouble at all.

I downloaded the java update from the apple site and enabled it and that still didn't work. I went to try to play the game on Firefox and got an error message this time that said the following:

That my Adobe Flash player crashed.

Yes, I checked to see that Java is enabled in Safari. It seems weird that none of the three browsers will work with the site.

I think you have to sign up for an account to play there but if I remember correctly, you can put in a fake email address and it will work, at least for one game. Everything works until I try to go into a room to play the boggle game.
