My iDVD will not open after I try to share my project to it.

Hi

A. Start iDVD - BUT - Now keep alt-key down - AND - create a brand new project. The old on has a problem and iDVD tries to open it until it got a new one to start from.

B. Something in the old project makes iDVD to hang. Try to isolate the problem

• Video in a Codec iDVD can not use

• SlideShows with more than 99 photos per show or strange photo file formats

• Space on Start-Up (Mac OS) Hard Disk is less than iDVD can work in - I never go under 25Gb free space.

• Audio file format - creating problems - I only use .aiff (all other converted to this e.g. .mp3 etc)

If Bengt's suggestions don't help try this basic troubleshooting fix :

1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your

User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.

2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your

User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.

3 - launch IDVD and try again.
