Q: SIM problem

Hello, my problem is my iPhone 3GS couldn't detect my SIM card. Only when I tap harder and hold it the message pop up saying No Sim installed and No service. I tried re-putting it in but no change. How to solve?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1, Sim

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Have all of these steps been tried?

If none of the above resolves it, try replacing the SIM.
Beyond that, take it to Apple for evaluation.

Hi, thanks for the answers. I've tried all the steps before but its still the same. I've tried replacing with another sim but still say NO SIM Installed. Oh and ya, where can fix my phone?

Take it to Apple. If it's still under warranty, it's covered. Otherwise, an Out of Warranty replacement is $149 in the US.

There is always 3rd party repair shops... google is your friend.
