I have a WIFI iPad 2 that I've had to reset and I'm trying to do an iTunes restore, but it keeps failing at the point where it says "Verifying restore with Apple".

 

Is there a way of testing the connection to see if it's Apple's servers, or my iPad?

 

When it starts the process the silver Apple icon appears on the iPad screen and is then joined by an empty progress bar which never starts to fill. The iPad screen then goes blank and iTunes displays an error message saying it was disconnected.

 

I've tried reinstalled iTunes, and I've tried doing the restore on different machines. I've even tried over different networks, butit always fails at the same point.


iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1
