Q: how do i get out of this error 1051 the phone was bought from a dealer at amazon and had already been jailbroken as it has cirrus on it but it did work for a couple of months until now it wont restore
I recently purchased an iphone 3 from a seller on Amazon which was unlocked. It had obviously been jailbroken as it had cirrus on it but the phone worked perfectly for a couple of months but has now frozen and itunes said it needed to be restored. Itunes goes through all the motions of restoring phone but just as it is about to finish it comes up with a 1051 error message saying it cannot restore. Help.

Sorry, but the jailbreak may well have permantently disabled the iPhone. In any case, we cannot help with jailbroken iPhones here. You'll need to look elsewhere for assistance; Google is your friend.
