I received the following message after updating Flash Player: "To improve the security of your Mac, the Java plug-in has been disabled in Safari. You can re-enable it in the Security pane of Safari preferences." If disabling Java improves security, why should I re-enable it? Thanks.

Safari is Version 5.0.6 (5533.22.3), I thought they wanted my operating system version.

You shouldn't. Your version of Java has bugs that make it unsafe to use on the Internet.
