Q: My ipad says it is on WiFi but it uses cellular data still, does this happen since the new update?

When using the ipad it is either randomly switching between wifi and cellular or displaying wifi but using cellular data at the same time. This is a problem when trying to watch a video because I have no idea if it is going to use my data or will run off wifi regardless of what is being displayed. I can turn off the cellular data and it will work fine, but I shouldn't have to do that if it working properly.

    I could see this happening if the signal strength, either Wi-Fi or cellular or both, are weak or there is interference present. Turn off cellular when you want to force the iPad to use Wi-Fi. It'll save you some battery as well.
