I can't send mail from my iPhone

I have a problem with my mail server on my iPhone. I use gmail, and with the same settings I'm able to send mail from my iPad with no problems at all. I compared the settings on both devices and thy are identical. I also tried following the steps in the troubleshoot guide twice, but nothing helped. If anyone has any tips or tricks it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. James

mrcoates14 is correct!! I had same issue with my ipod 4Gen and iPhone 5. Go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calender - Click under Accounts (mail account having problem to send email) - Under IMAP click Account - Under Outgoing Mail Server SMTP Tap Primary Server - Enter Username and Password (same as your account). Once Verified, Now your device will send email through the modified Account.

Thanks

I tried all of the above resets and fixes and nothing helped. Could receive email but not send - always got error message. Made all the passwords match up for SMTP and all that but no good. Had just about given up but someone told me about Email Everywhere and they fixed it in no time. HIghly recommended. Link below - Cheers Charlie
