May 28, 2012 11:28 AM in response to ds storeby cristianegv,Hi, thank you but I spent almost all my afternoon on Saturday following your instructions but they didnt work. I cant install flash player and still unable to play any videos. I know for sure it's something related with the new flash version because before I ran all the updates I was playing movies and videos on youtube, everything worked well. Do you know of anything else I could try?
thanks

Are those videos also on youtube?
Please post the plugins you do have installed. The quickest way to get that list is from terminal (in Utilities). Copy/paste each of the following commands and post the results.
ls -la /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins
ls -la ~/Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins

May 28, 2012 8:23 PM in response to cristianegvby X423424X,The commands were to list exactly what plugins you currently have installed. I wanted to check to see if the were any potential conflicts and there aren't any. But it also immediatly begged the question just how are you attempting to install the flash player plugin? Because it isn't installed.
Did you download it from the adobe download page?
Did you mount the downloaded dmg?
Did you double click the installer app in the mounted dmg to launch the installer?
Did you agree to the terms to enable the Install button and then click the install button?

Using their uninstaller to remove the million previous versions right?
You may need to start from scratch by doing an A&I - Mac OS X: About the Archive and Install feature or -
Disconnect all peripherals from your computer.
Boot from your install disc & run Repair Disk from the utility menu. To use the Install Mac OS X disc, insert the disc, and restart your computer while holding down the C key as it starts up.
Select your language.
Once on the desktop, select Utility in the menu bar.
Select Disk Utility.
Select the disk or volume in the list of disks and volumes, and then click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk.
Restart your computer when done.
Repair permissions after you reach the desktop-http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751 and restart your computer.
Reinstall flash player and again repair permissions and restarting your computer.

May 29, 2012 1:17 PM in response to cristianegvby X423424X,If you did all those things I mentioned and clicked the install button describe exactly what happens next. The installer is just a standard .pkg installer (inside their installer app bundle) which should uncondititionally write (or rewrite) whatever and wherever the .pkg is instructed to install. No previous uninstall necessary.
Look at your console log as you are installing for any related messages be posted.
