Q: Printing help.  My Epson wireless printer won't print.  Airport seems OK.  I get the following message.../Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Cont ents/MacOS/rastertoescpII failed.  What am I missing?

I can't get my Epson wireless printer to print.  All seems well.  Turned on and off.  Green lights abound.  My computer seems to see the printer.

Error message as follows:

/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS/ rastertoescpII failed

Can anyone help?

Thanks

You did not tell us how you installed the printer so it's a little tough to troubleshoot. Please carefully look over Printing Overview OS X Lion for instructions on how to add a printer. Also look on Printer and scanner software for Snow Leopard & Lion to see if your printer is compatible with OS X.

Finally PLEASE update your profile using the Profile Update link.

I have the same error for a new Epson WorkForce 545:

    Error: /Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/Filter/rastertoescpII.app/Contents/MacOS /rastertoescpII failed

I updated Mac software and tried reset all printers and restalled but it still has the same error.  The printer is connected via wireless network.

NOTE: this error only happens with Adobe Acrobat printing.  It seems to be working fine with all other applications.  ONLY ISOLATED to Adobe  Acrobat printing pdf files!

    Please help. Thank you.
