How to Block incoming imessage?

Unfortunately there is no way to block incoming iMessages on the iPhone. Your only option is to turn iMessages off in settings. Then text messages will only come through Verizon. Hopefully by having Verizon block his phone number it will also block his text messages. If not, see if Verizon can block his text messages.

I am having almost the exact same problem. I am paying for the AT&T Smart Limit service but every now and then the person texts me. I called AT&T and they advised that blocking the number through them only blocks incoming calls (and possibly outgoing as well). However, since iMessages are sent through the data side (not the cellular side) that they cannot block it.

The customer service rep was able to advise me that you can keep this from happening by closing your iTunes account and opening up a new one, but I have not explored this option enough yet. It sounds like a lot of work since I have used the same account for all of my music and app purchases since I started using iTunes circa 2002. Not sure it's worth the hassel for this one nuisance. Of course the other obvious option is not using iMessage.

It would be a nice iOS update to be able to block iMessages from a certain contact or better yet, have a list of iMessage restricted numbers on the iPhone so you don't have to even see that person's name in your contact list.
