Q: ibooks in NZ seems to be have virtually no content, simple some old copyright free issues but no current options, is this correct? Or am I missing some link that would provide me access to the full store?

Hi, I'm following links from Twitter that suggests I can link through to the iBook store for access to recent books etc, but using my NZ bases Apple ID only gives me access to old copyright free books, Sherlock Holmes etc - is this because the NZ store only has these available ? Do I need an off-shore ID for access to the full iBooks store?

Yeah, I'm afraid so. According to the following document, there's no paid books available from the New Zealand Store:
