Q: i'm trying to download a game for my kids and it keeps saying app requires 4.3. or better how do i do this

I'm trying to download a game for my kids its saying i need ios 4.3. or better how can i update my older ipod to handle this as i really dont know what operating sys i'm on

iPod touch, Windows XP, dont no what operating sys i'm on
