Q: my redeem code will not work for itunes

For my Notorious: unrated director's cut, it says not recognized/invalid but if i enter it through the autorun program and transfer to windows media player my code works fine and transfers. cant find help anywhere...please any ideas? if i try to transfer the copy to itunes through the autorun program it says requires itunes 7. something or later meanwhile i have the latest verion 10. something i believe. thanks
