can someone please tell me how to cut and paste words with my new magic mouse?....i am used to a dell mouse, thanks!

Move the cursor and select the text you want to copy. Then click the upper right of the mouse (this is equivalent to a right click) and select copy. Do the same and select Paste when you're ready.
Also confirm under System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click > Secondary Click is ON.
That's a hardware question what would be best answered in the forum for the system version you're using, either Mac OS X v10.7 Lion, Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard.

In general there is no reason to cut and paste in iPhoto. You normally use iPhoto commands for manipulating your photos
