Q: How can I configure iTunes so I can use my iPad3 to access Music files stored on Networked drive on my home wireless network?

I see that I can configure my Windows Laptop so it runs iTunes and access my music files located on my Seagate GoFlex Neworked drive, and then use "Home Sharing" to sign onto the same Apple ID from my iPad, within iTunes, and thus access the iTunes music files that my Laptop's iTunes library imported from my Networked drive.

But that is a Very Roundabout way to do this, requiring that:

(a) I keep my Windows Laptop on at all times when I want to stream usic from my iPad;'

(b) I am actively running iTunes on my Windows Laptop at alltimes I want to stream music from it on my iPad3; and

(c) I will have had to import the files from my networked library into iTunes on my windows Laptop hard drive - thus being very redundant in having to use up hard drive space unnecessarily

Instead - what I'd like to do is configure iTunes on my iPad so it could stream the music files directly from my networked drive (which is on the Same network as the iPad3 itself is connected to).

Any way to do this, and/or third-party SW to allow me to do this?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1
