Apple Can't Reproduce Problem.

I had Apple pick up my computer for this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3965014?answerId=18439424022#18439424022 and I just get a call that they can't reproduce the problem. How is that possible when it's something that happened to me every time?

Now they want me to send them my headphones (a pair of 10 year old Sony MDR-V500 Headphones).

I don't really don't understand how they can't reproduce the issue. This is mind boggling.

Do my headphones lend any clues to the situation?

Hi c,

I believe that's a reasonable request. The headphones appear to be part of the hardware equation which causes the issue. Why is that? I don't know, but it could be a plug slightly out of spec.
