Q: Disk Defragmentation? Forgive me I'm new to Mac...

I'm a PC user & have a new iMac. I used Diskeeper my PC all the time. Does OS Lion ever need defragmenting? If so, what is the best software to keep the Lion running great

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

There are only two scenarios under which you might need to defragment your drive: you have large files or your hard drive is full. If you want to defragment your Mac, use an application like iDefrag, but it's not neccesary. Enjoy your computer and forget defragmentation
