Q: my macbook pro just went completely dark. I tried turning it off and then on again. It goes on, I can hear the opening ... my macbook pro just went completely dark. I tried turning it off and then on again. It goes on, I can hear the opening music and the light on the cap lock is lite but the screen is black. It is fully charged. Please help! more

So there is no way of telling if this applies to you - MacBook Pro: Distorted video or no video issues . The affected computers were manufactured between approximately May 2007 and September 2008.
If you are still under warranty or have Apple Care, call them. Otherwise, take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.

Yes I clicked on the link. Not sure if thats the problem. I think it may be a backscreen power issue. I plan to take it to the Mac store tomorrow. Thanks.
