Aperture and PhotoStream Problem

I have the latest version of Aperture and I have automatic photostream upload turned on in Aperture Preferences. When I load new photos from my camera, they do not upload automatically to the photostream. I do have iCloud enabled in System Preferences. Any idea what is going on? Also for some reason I cannot manually upload pictures to the PhotoStream from Aperture either. If someone has a solution please let me know. Thank you.

What is the make of your camera and the format and size of your images? Photo Stream does not support all image formats and has a size restriction. Images that are too large will not upload automatically, and also only supported raw formats will upload. I got the above error message when I tried to upload a large file.

I have the latest MacOS 10.7.4 with the NEX 7 RAW support. I use mostly JPEG format and that wouldn't upload. If I copy pics from my camera to my iPad through the camera acessory attachment, I have no problem uploading them to the cloud. But for some reason Aperture won't do it. Maybe I should delete the preference files but I really don't want to do that unless it is absolutely necessary.

Hi all,

Same question. Any resolution? I have the problem on iPhone 4 which seems to make its own selection on what to upload and what not into photo stream. In aperture, photostream activated, and 6 ⚠ months of photos in the "photostream" folder (supposed to be 30 days, no?). Also, not all latest photos in Aperture photostream folder. Something ****** up when I had to recover my iPhone, and I have no **** clue how to recover. Plus, no Apple support of course, and don't want to pay immediately...

In my case same, Mac OS 10.7 Lion and iOS 5.1.1 and Aperture 3.3.1. In the meanwhile, I stopped and re-activated the photo stream, but issue remains. Cannot find any clear pattern as to what synchs and what does not synch. Opened a ticket on Expresslane, but need to call them when I happen to have some time outside business hours :-/

Yesterday came that update of Aperture (v. 3.3.2) for compatibility with Mac OS X Mt Lion, maybe that will bring improvement? Maybe new iOS will follow also? Unfortunately, I am using Intel MacBook before 2008, so no update to Mt Lion possible. I fear I'll be stuck with this problem...

Don't hesitate to publish your solution if ever you find any.

Thx. Regards, M.
