My iPhone 3G in the past has been successfully used as a hot spot for my MacBook Pro w/MacOS 10.5.8. Recently this capabiity does not work. Both AT&T and Apple have not yet figured out why. Any suggestions?

This problem was finally solved by Apple. Solution was to reinstall iOS version on the iPhone 3G and problem goes away!!! Originally neither AT&T or Apple could figure it out, but finally I contacted Level 3 Apple Tech Support and he suggested the likely fix. Still do not know why the latest iOS that was on the iPhone 3G failed.
