I reload and fresh a few apple then sold it. I want to deauthorize or reset my all my authorized computer so I can reselect the computers I want to authorize for iTunes
Open iTunes in this computer, click "Store" menu and press "Deauthorize This Computer"
Open iTunes.
From the Store menu, choose Deauthorize This Computer. (In earlier versions of iTunes, access this option from the Advanced menu).
When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password, then click Deauthorize
The question is how to deauthorize AFTER you've sold the computer and no longer have it in your posession.
Log into iTunes and go into your account. You should see an option to "Deauthorize all computers" (or something like that). Granted, you will have to re-authorize all the computers you currently have.
These suggestions only work if you have 5 authorized computers. I don't. The only one I can deauthorize is the one I'm using now, and NOT the one I sold and no longer have.
That's not true. If you follow the steps outlined in the KB article I linked, it will work regardless of how many computers you have authorized. (Trust me, I've done it multiple times with fewer than 5 computers authorized.)
Yes. This worked but the article you linked me to wasn't written in a way I could follow. Finally figured out what they were saying and found it. Thanks much! (Even figuring out the system here, e.g. putting a green check mark on your comment is impossible.)
