I recently tried the Final Cut trial version and created a number of projects, now I have purchased the full version it comes up with 'Trial Period Expired' when I try opening these files - when I open the full version and try importing the projects it doesnt recognise the files, please please help I have spent days putting these videos together...

The events and projects created with the trial version should just be there in some place. You should just open the paid version and the events and projects just be there for you.
Where did you put the events and projects? Did you move them?
The trial version and the paid version are identical, except for the time limitation.

They are saved under 'movies' I have changed the default to open to the full version, I click on the file, the full version opens, and the multi-colour timer just turns and turns - I cmd, alt, esc and it says 'not responding' - its about two days of editing pretty much up the wall, really irrated that its appearing that I have spent £199 on a substandard solution that has lost everything..

You are not supposed to open the project files themselves. Just open the application and they ought to appear there.
Exact same probleme ! Exact same upset feelings as I paid for it. I lost professional projects which I was supposed to be paid for...
