When I close my Ipad 2 cover and reopen it a bit later my Ipad does not pick up my Iphone tether. I have to switch my Personal Hot Spot on and off to reconnect. Anyone else have this problem?

When I close my Ipad 2 cover and reopen it a bit later my Ipad does not pick up my Iphone tether. I have to switch my Personal Hot Spot on and off to reconnect. Anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone else have this problem.

I have to place my Iphone 4 high up above me, on a window frame to pick up a good 3G signal. I tether my Ipad 2 to the device, but whenever I close my screen, or place it on stand by, I loss the tether and have to climb up and switch my Hot Spot off and on. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Keep the iPad plugged in. Then in won't drop WiFi when it goes to sleep.

My iPad 2 does exactly the same thing. But I just have to go on to my wifi options and you can either forget this network and then press it again or you can turn wifi off and on again and press that wifi.

Keeping it plugged in is not an option, unless I buy another plug and cable for work.

The problem is that my iPad won't even pick up the signal, so there is no way to forget the network, because it's not on the list. If I switch the iPhone hotspot off and on It pops back up and the iPad connects.

When the iPad goes to sleep, it will drop the WiFi. If nothing is connected to the personal hotspot on the iPhone, it will stop. The only solution I know of is to keep the iPa from going to sleep. Having another power cable is useful anyway.
