Q: I am using an iPad 2 and it's on ios 5.1.1 and the personal hotspot option is not showing. what do I need to do?

I know that one option is to ask my carrier to have it activated, right? what other options can I do?

I believe the iPhone can offer a personal hotspot, but i do not believe the iPad offers that feature yet.

Only the new iPad offers the personal hotspot feature. That feature is not available on the iPad 2.
