Don't know. Plays on mine!

You provided no info what-so-ever about your system.

Which browser are you using? Have you tested the videos in other browsers? All your browsers updated?

Which os is installed on your computer? Do you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player?

Please describe in detail all you have attempted to do in order to resolve the issue.

Which a/v software did you install ??

Even though you just bought your Mac yesterday, the Flash plugin may not be up to date.

Uninstall the current plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.

Then launch Safari.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache

Try a video.

if it still won't play, you need to disable the a/v software.

BTW, a virus is not as much a concern on a Mac as malware.

Good read here > Thomas' Corner : Mac Virus Guide

To help avoid malware, keep your system software up to date. You can have updates download automatically. Open System Preferences from the Apple drop down menu then select Software Update > Scheduled Check.

Select: Check for updates. Select Daily from the pop up menu.

Select: Download updates automatically. You'll see a dialog window on your screen when those updates are available.

The Flash plug-in failure on Lion, is a Safari issue that can be fixed with these steps:

My Flash Player plug-in would not play videos on YouTube (using Safari in Lion). It turned out that my Safari settings needed to be reset after the recent Lion 10.7.4 and Flash upgrades. I called Apple tech...

This is what we did to fix it:

1. Open Safari.

2. Go to top left menu, under "Safari" click on "Reset Safari."

3. UNCHECK the first two boxes, leave the next three checked, plus UNCHECK the next two, and keep the last three checked.

4. Hit "Reset"

5. After the reset finishes, Safari will relaunch and you can test Flash by going to YouTube to see that videos will now play.

Thanks Apple Care!
