Q: AW crashes on opening

Now, suddenly AW won't open on my iMac under 10.6.8. Report submitted to Apple. Trtied trashing appleworks plist pref. Report thus;

    I hope by now you have sorted out the problem.  If not, the following may be helpful.  AW6 was built upon ClarisWorks which is/was an 8 bit application and will NOT works in Unicode such as U.S. Extended (or in my case Welsh).  Try selecting U.S. Roman from System Preferences/International/Input Menu and see if that solves the problem.

    Thank you. All is well at the moment. Just for clarity: I don't see International in Syst. Prefs. In Language & Text I can find Input Sources and here British is checked (but greyed out). Is this what you mean? - and the US options are US or US Extended or US International - PC. This is academic though I suppose.
