Q: Need to do an installation that involves four devices: an ADSL modem, a Linksys wireless router, the Airport Extreme station WITH its respective reception base. How do I accomplish this, in order to have internet routed to the Apple small receiver end?
Situation is...
I was asked to do this installation.
ADSL Modem
Linksys Router (WRT160N)
AirPort Extreme A1408
AirPort small receiver base (A1264)
The client is complaining that the internet can't reach the small receiver.
I have done wireless installations in this fashion:
ADSL Modem (set to bridge mode with PPPoE authentication)
Linksys Router set to DHCP mode and broadcasting the internet wirelessly
---
I wanted to know, how will it be with AirPort... if I need the LinkSys Router.... or If I need to do any configuration on the small receiver (A1264)
and...
Want to know why my potential client is complaining about the "lamp" from the small receiver which is not getting lit.
(He wants to use the Airport as a AMPLIFIER towards the next house, small receiver will be there).
Please any help on this will be very appreciated.
