Offline speech to text?

Hello all,

I've done some searching both on the App store as well as general search on the net to locate a Speech-to-text app usable on the Touch. It appears that the heavy lifting for this type of app is done server-side, and thus requires an internet connection.

Can anyone dispell this hopefully false impression?

Any pointers to iOS apps that will convert spoken word to written text without a connection? I won't have the luxury of a connection at all times when I need to use this functionality.
