Please Apple, provide our iphones with the same possibility to set the preferences
for a Standard account. I only use my alias me.com mail account and if writing a
new mail i always have to change the "sender" account. very annoying and time
consuming. os 10.7.4 has this as standard feature.

There is no one from Apple here. Use this to let Apple know your feelings:
1. You aren't addressing Apple here. Apple doesn't read or participatte here.
2. Settings > Mail..... > (scroll down) Mail > Default Account > pick.
3. Consider meditation if this trivial sort of problem "annoys" you.
meditation puts me to sleep.....
the thing is you have to deactivate the icloud alias to receive and send mail properly.
as a result you cannot chose the alias in the default account settings.
