Q: I deleted pictures from iphoto in the iphoto trash can. How do I actually delete them off of my macbook for good?

Trying to restore some of my hard drive, and I deleted  ton of pics in iphoto, but I dont see where they actually went, nor do I see a GB increase.

MacBook (13-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.3)

You don't say what version of iPhoto you are using, but perhaps this will help - under the iPhoto menu is there an item Empty iPhoto Trash? Does anything change if you select this?

Oops, you then have to empty the desktop's Trash, as emptying the iPhoto Trash just moves those items to the Desktop Trash.

    Best of luck.
