Why doesn't Logic Pro 9 normalize my tracks when I "export all tracks as audio files"?
What I'm trying to do is export all the tracks in my arrangement as audio files with normalization. Here's what I do:
* File -> Export all tracks as audio files
* Save format AIFF
* Bit depth 16-bit
* Bypass effect plug ins: UNCHECKED
* Normalize: ON
According to the manual this should eport my tracks normalized. It doesn't. It exports all the tracks fine, with their channel effects as wanted, but they are not normalized.
This is the final roadblock in big, urgent project that involves 100s of files. It is so frustrating. Why is Logic Pro making something that should be easy into a nightmare?
I'm aware that it's possible to batch normalize in another programme, but Logic is supposed to do this - why introduce another process and degrade sound quality. Also I'm aware that many people disagree with normalization - this is something necessary for this project which is sound effects for a game.
