Quicktime problems in OSX v 10.7 won't open a .wav file

Any solutions to opening a .wav file in OSX Lion v 10.7 using Quicktime 10.1. File won't open message says it's not compatible.

WAV files should be fully compatible with Quicktime, but odd errors can happen. Try VLC and if the file cannot play there then it means the file is corrupted and you should try copying it from its original source again.
