Jul 25, 2012 10:52 AM in response to rachelle221by Earlybird29,★HelpfulI had the same problem and managed to change the Apple ID by going into Settings and then Store (Apps). Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the Apple ID. Tap the Apple ID and then choose Sign Out on the pop up options box. Then tap Sign In on the next screen that is displayed. Use the Apple ID you want to use from now on.
It did the trick for me..hope this helps everyone.

Jul 30, 2012 4:39 PM in response to Earlybird29by TheRealMpdivo,I did this but it still reverts to my old apple ID - this is driving me nuts because my itunes is set to the new apple ID - I never bought anything with the old apple ID - it's really old.
This didn't start happening until I got a new Iphone. -
Jul 30, 2012 8:49 PM in response to Flashwangby Flashwang,★HelpfulI resolve the problem by remove the apps that installed before I use current apple id.
Or you can try remove all the apps and then reinstall them by iTune or from app store.

Sep 25, 2012 5:50 AM in response to frederikkefrederikkeby GrumpyGator,You need to sign into appleid.apple.com and change all your account info there, including any misspelled names or addresses.

Sep 28, 2012 7:33 PM in response to rachelle221by MaMamiya,I just got the iPhone 5 and started setting up all my apps. I had several that needed to be updated and I encountered the same issue. My settings showed the correct account, but the update screen was showing me a very old itunes account id. Worst yet, I put in what I was sure was the old password, and it still didn't work.
I ended up trying to check the old account password and went to appleid.apple.com. I signed in with my old account, and sure enough that password worked. Looks like I had to verify the (very old) account. I responded to an email for verification. After that, my iphone updates worked. Must have had an old app from before my me.com account days. Hmmm.

Sep 29, 2012 12:21 AM in response to rachelle221by jing heng,Guys, I once had this problem too... When I update my apps, it shows Tim Cook's apple id... I took it to the apple retail store, I live in Malaysia, so it's Switch... And they reinstall iOS for me... After one day, I get the same problem again but this time, it shows my old apple id... Then I go to settings and reset all settings and everything is solved!!! Try it out, maybe it will solve your problem too! Good luck
